Neat, huh? □ It may not look like much but this is one phenomenal Tetris game Bust-A-Move Oh, and another clever mechanic is that the pieces are pooled together so first come, first served. Experimenting with the characters as you devise strategies and unleash abilities at just the right moment is satisfying stuff. Featuring tried-and-true core gameplay as well as mechanics like character-specific abilities that make matches highly competitive this is a superb puzzle game to play with friends. Next, we have the Japanese exclusive Tetris Battle Gaiden which is one of the best Tetris games ever made. Also featured in: Super Nintendo Hidden Gems (Part 2) As a long-time Bomberman fan, this game always puts a smile on my face Tetris Battle Gaiden Matching coloured Bomberman heads as you explode piles of bombs only to watch the heads blink with surprise is hilarious and as you progress in each match, your background image will change which is a lovely touch that I wish more puzzlers would incorporate. COMBOS BUST A MOVE 4 PSPOne of my all-time favourites is Money Puzzle Exchanger so check it out! □ Evercade Data East Collection 1 Review (includes Magical Drop II) ACA NeoGeo: Magical Drop III Review There's always one competitor who takes things too seriously Super Bomberman: Panic Bomber WĪs a huge Bomberman fan, I always enjoy picking up Panic Bomber whether it's via the awesome PSP version or this super-cute SNES release. Over the years, there have been loads of sequels and adaptations of Magical Drop so there are many opportunities to play it for yourself. The simple formula of grabbing then throwing spheres in order to create clever chains to the detriment of your opponent provides a wonderful tug-of-war formula that's excellent for multiplayer competitions. You may know it as Chain Reaction but whatever you call it, there's no denying how special of a game Magical Drop is. I wish every Kirby Game Boy title was remade like this! □ Kirby Game Boy Games And here I thought Kirby's Star Stacker looked great on Super Game Boy! Magical Drop I absolutely love Kirby's Star Stacker for Game Boy but did you know that there was a Super Nintendo remake of it in Japan? Known as Kirby no Kirakira Kizzu, this adorably delightful puzzle game has you match many critters from Kirby's world with stars in between in order to create combos and chains which is both relaxing and rewarding. Perhaps we should aim for the shiny blocks Kirby's Super Star Stacker Mario because its awkward-shaped and unpredictable pieces make playing against a friend a rather exciting time, especially seeing as many of the pieces come in multiple parts and can be controlled separately after one part lands. That being said, I actually enjoy it more than Dr. Tetris 2 is a weird game considering it sounds like a direct sequel to the puzzle classic but it actually plays more like Dr. □ Also featured in: Top 10 NES Puzzle Games Is this Mario's most epic battle with Bowser yet? Tetris 2 The good news is that it holds up quite well and it's impressively unique even nowadays. I remember spending hours carefully lining up rows of cookies and planning chain reactions whenever I played it against my friends. Yoshi's Cookie was available for every Nintendo console back in '93 including NES and Game Boy but this Super NES release holds a special place in my heart. v1d30chumz 78-26-147-81 Pac-Attack Review Evercade Namco Museum Collection 2 Review (includes Pac-Attack) Those ghosts sure don't look happy to see Pac-Man Yoshi's Cookie It's fun stuff and requires a lot of planning ahead. Anyway, in this Pac-Man-themed iteration, you're bound to have fun chomping ghost tiles whenever you get a Pac-Man piece as you try to make rows with the solid tiles. Whether you know it as Pac-Attack or Pac-Panic, this quirky Namco puzzle game is essentially a reskin of Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle which was exclusive to Super Famicom in Japan. □ Here's just a small sample of my SNES puzzle game collection Pac-Attack │ Video Chums was once offered $4000 per month to display a persistent video ad. COMBOS BUST A MOVE 4 FULLThe SNES library is full of amazing games and it also happens to feature some of the best puzzle games ever made so let's get to it.
